Guide attention with 3D focus.

Keep a subject sharp while nearer or farther objects soften. Use your agent to adjust aperture, focus distance and focus changes in Tesseract.

Focus shifts from a nearby coral sphere to a more distant object.

Rendered in Tesseract with path tracing at 32 samples per pixel. Download the editable project to revise the scene.

Give your agent this .tsrct file, then ask for a specific change.

Try it in your agent.

Use this prompt as a starting point. Review the result, then ask for the details you want to change.

A prompt to start from

Build a Tesseract scene with two objects at different depths. Hold the camera still and shift focus from the front object to the rear object over four seconds. Render preview frames before the final video. Keep the focus transition gradual; if it feels abrupt, revise only the focus timing and preserve the objects, lights and composition.

Keep control of the result.

Focus distance
Choose the plane that stays sharp.
Tracked focus
Follow an authored scene target or the camera’s aim target with an optional offset.
Aperture
Adjust the amount of defocus without changing the objects.
Bokeh shape
Use supported blade, rotation and anamorphic aperture controls.

A few useful details.

Can I link focus to a moving object?

Yes. Supported target-based focus updates the focus distance from an authored scene relationship. Invalid or unsuitable targets can fall back to the manual focus distance.

Is this the same as blurring a 2D layer?

No. Camera depth of field depends on the distance of 3D surfaces from the focus plane. A flat blur applies to the selected image or layer.

Will the preview and final render match?

Use the same renderer and optical settings for a representative final-quality preview. Raster and path-traced depth of field use different methods.

How do I try this with my agent?

Install or update Tesseract in a supported agent, attach your source files, and copy the prompt. Review the preview, then ask for the changes you want. The composition stays editable as you refine it.

Where does the video render?

Tesseract renders in the environment where your agent runs it, including supported local computers and hosted Linux environments. The engine is free; your agent’s subscription or usage costs are separate.

Set up Tesseract by Mirage so you can create editable designs and 3D scenes, edit videos, and make motion graphics in this agent’s environment. Read https://github.com/mirage-hq/Tesseract and check the requirements for this local or hosted environment. If it is supported, follow the official plugin or skills installation guide, use its required runtime version, verify the download checksum, and confirm a short preview renders correctly. Then ask what I want to make and which brand references or source assets I have. Keep the editable project and source assets with the finished render.
