Color blending.

Transfer color while retaining backdrop luminance.

Color transfers a gradient’s hue and saturation while preserving the footage luminance. The image moves from monochrome to a tonal Sea/Sky treatment without baking the grade.

A prompt to start from

Use Tesseract. Create a large water-pour image on the left and neutral Exposure type on the right. First make the footage monochrome, then ease in a Sea/Sky gradient through Color blending. The transferred color must retain the moving glass and water luminance detail. Keep source, monochrome effect, gradient and blend independently editable.
