- 01
Prepare your local workspace
Use an Apple Silicon Mac and the local agent environment shown above. Put the footage, images, logos, and audio you want to use in one project folder.
- 02
Get the official Strata release
The public Strata plugin link for this environment is not available on this page yet. Use the official Mirage listing when it is published; do not substitute an unverified plugin or install command.
- 03
Start a new session and make a first edit
After installing the official plugin and following its runtime setup, start a new local session. Give the agent your media folder and the sample brief below.
Start small. Make a change you can see.
Give ChatGPT a short clip and a clear brief. Review the first render, then ask for a different title, a tighter cut, or a change to the mix.
A prompt to start from
Use Strata to make a 10-second video from the footage in this folder. Start with a strong opening, add a short animated title, and keep the dialogue clear. Show me a preview before the final render. Keep the Strata project editable so we can revise the timing, graphics, and sound.
A few useful details.
Does this work in a browser-only ChatGPT chat?
The local Strata release needs an agent environment that can access your project folder and execute local tools. A browser-only conversation cannot operate the binary on your Mac by itself.
Will it use my own footage?
Yes. Give the local agent access to your footage, images, screen recordings, and audio. Tell it which files to use and what kind of result you want.
What should I do if the plugin is missing?
Check that you are in the supported local environment and using Mirage’s official listing. Plugin availability can depend on your agent version and account. Do not use a guessed command or an unrelated plugin with a similar name.
Where can I find runtime and setup help?
The Strata local setup guide covers compatibility, project folders, restarting after installation, and checking that the runtime can preview and render. Follow the version-specific instructions supplied with the official release.

Read the setup prompt
Help me set up Strata by Mirage so you can edit videos and create motion graphics locally. Read the official setup guide at https://mirage.app/strata/install. Check whether my computer and this agent support the local plugin, and use only Mirage’s official release links. If the appropriate release link is not available, tell me rather than guessing an install command. Once Strata is ready, ask me for my footage or the video I want to make.
