Mosaic.

Turn a layer into an editable grid of color blocks.

A moving coastal scene emerges from broad blocks of colour into finer detail. The Mosaic effect controls the horizontal and vertical block counts without replacing the footage. Video, typography, framing and the animated block counts are editable.

A prompt to start from

Use Strata. Build an eight-second Strata reveal on a Bone canvas. Place the supplied coastal footage in a large 1040×728 window on the right; place “Less detail.” and “More intrigue.” on the left in Exposure[-30]. Start the live video with Mosaic at 12 by 8 blocks, then increase toward 112 by 78 blocks over four seconds to reveal more detail while retaining a visible pixel texture. Keep text and background unprocessed. Use a small Denim Mosaic label and 96 px exterior margins. Silent visual example.

A few useful details.

How do I try this with my agent?

Copy the prompt into your supported local agent with Strata installed. Review the preview, then ask for the changes you want. The composition stays editable as you refine it.

Where does the video render?

Strata previews and renders locally on an Apple Silicon Mac. The local engine is free; your agent’s subscription or usage costs are separate.
