Inverted luminance mattes.

Reverse the bright/dark reveal relationship.

Reverse a luminance matte so darker regions reveal the footage. This radial grayscale source reveals the workshop in its dark center while the pale perimeter disappears into the canvas. The matte’s grayscale values and Luma Inverted mode remain editable.

Try it in your agent.

Use this prompt as a starting point. Review the result, then ask for the details you want to change.

A prompt to start from

Use Strata. Create an eight-second silent Strata film study with “In the / shadows.” at left and moving workshop footage at right. Use a separate, fully opaque radial grayscale vector matte, black near the craftsperson and white at the perimeter, consumed through Luma Inverted. Darker areas reveal the film while the white perimeter disappears into Bone. Leave the film sharp and the mask editable; the soft boundary must come from luminance, not a blur on the footage.

A few useful details.

How do I try this with my agent?

Copy the prompt into your supported local agent with Strata installed. Review the preview, then ask for the changes you want. The composition stays editable as you refine it.

Where does the video render?

Strata previews and renders locally on an Apple Silicon Mac. The local engine is free; your agent’s subscription or usage costs are separate.
